During this webinar, Dr. Saini and Mr. Balasubramanian will share the Max Institute of Cancer Care, Vaishali, India Radixact® X9 System experience. They will discuss how quality is maintained throughout the process from installation to system go-live through to ramp-up of clinical activity in a busy department. They will describe the treatment workflow and clinical indications treated on the Radixact System as well as share how quality and staff standards are maintained.

Gagan Saini, M.D. (AIIMS), DNB, Director and Clinical Administrator, Radiation Oncology, Max Institute of Cancer Care, Vaishali and Patparganj, Max Healthcare, India 

Gagan Saini is the Director and Clinical Administrator of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Max Institute of Cancer Care, Vaishali and Patparganj (Delhi NCR). He has held this position since 2020. He is also the Principal Consultant Radiation Oncologist. Dr. Saini’s qualifications include an M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Seth G.S. Medical College, K.E.M. Hospital, Bombay, India (2022), Diplomat of National Board (DNB) (Radiotherapy), National Board of Examinations, India (2007) and M.D. (Radiotherapy), All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India (AIIMS) (2006). He has published several articles as well as presenting at conferences around the globe. Dr. Saini is a member of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) and North Zone- Association of Radiation Oncologists of India.

Balasubramanian S, MSc, Chief Medical Physicist and RSO, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali, Ghaziabad, India

Balasubramanian S is the Chief Medical Physicist and Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at the Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali, Ghaziabad, India. He has worked here since 2011. Before this, he worked at Kailash Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Muni seva ashram, Goraj, Vadodara, Gujarat from 2007 to 2011. His areas of interest include the commissioning of radiotherapy equipment, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), hypofractionation, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Total Body Irradiation (TBI) and Total Skin Electron Therapy (TSET). Balasubramanian S oversees the Post Graduate Diploma course in Radiation Therapy Technology (PGDRTT). He has published both nationally and internationally in the field of medical physics. He is a life member of the Association of Medical Physicists of India (AMPI).

Dr. Chitapanarux is the deputy head and professor of the Radiology department at Chiang Mai University Hospital, Thailand.  She has more than 20 years of experience in Radiation Oncology. She was involved in the implementation of hypofractionated radiation therapy for breast cancers in Chiang Mai University Hospital since 2004. She is the author and co-author of more than 100 publications. Her area of expertise are breast and head & neck cancers.
