Dr. Rewari is a national leader in radiation oncology, serving as the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Health Policy Committee Chair, the American College of Radiology (ACR) Radiation Oncology Economics Committee Chair, the ASTRO Code Development and Valuation Committee Chair, the ASTRO Corporate Relations Committee Vice-Chair, the ASTRO Corporate Advisory Council Vice-Chair, and the ASTRO RUC Advisor to the AMA.
Dr. Rewari has completed a John Hopkins Certificate Course in proton therapy and currently treats all disease sites at Luminis Health – DeCesaris Cancer Institute utilizing the latest radiation techniques while practicing compassionate, personalized, evidence-based medicine. He is the Principal Investigator on several clinical research trials, has authored numerous publications and is a frequent invited speaker at international medical conferences. He has previously worked in the Office of the Chairman at Aetna as a Health Policy Associate, in the HealthCare group at Credit Suisse as an investment banker, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Fund for Education Abroad, the largest study abroad scholarship provider for students of color and economic disadvantage.
Dr. Rewari graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in political science from Temple University. He received his MD and MBA degrees from Yale University School of Medicine and Yale University School of Management. He stayed at Yale-New Haven Hospital to complete an Internal Medicine internship. He attended Rutgers University for his radiation oncology residency. During that time, he was named Chief Resident, and he received the Dean’s Research Award and ASTRO’s highest award for clinical research at their annual meeting. Dr. Rewari was also selected as an ASTRO health policy fellow in their inaugural class.
