MyAccuray Webinar: Initial Experience of VOLO™ Ultra Optimizer for the Radixact® System

Join Lee Goddard and Jin Shen as they share Montefiore Medical Center’s Department of Radiation Oncology’s initial experience of the VOLO Ultra Optimizer for the Radixact® System. Montefiore Medical Center’s Department of Radiation Oncology strives to develop and incorporate the newest technologies and methods available to combat the progress of cancer and outstanding radiation oncology care is crucial for many of their patients with the disease. Since installing the Radixact System at the Moses campus in 2017, Montefiore has been an early adopter of both Synchrony® and ClearRT for the Radixact System. The utilization of VOLO Ultra Optimizer for treatment planning has allowed them to ensure the best plans are created and delivered to patients. This webinar will present Montefiore Medical Center’s initial experience with VOLO Ultra.

Lee Goddard completed his Masters in Physics at Cardiff University in Wales. After moving to New York he obtained his Certificate of Professional Achievement in Medical Physics from Columbia University in 2013. He then completed his residency in Therapeutic Medical Physics at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where he has remained, obtaining Board Certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics in 2016.

Jin Shen

Jin Shen, M.B., B.S., CMD/RT(T), Chief Dosimetrist, Montefiore Medical Center, New York
Jin Shen is the Chief Dosimetrist at Montefiore Medical Center since 2006. She is a certified Medical Dosimetrist and Radiation Therapist. She obtained a Bachelor of Medicine in Radiation Medicine from the Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences, Changchun, China, and a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy, from Indiana University School of Medicine/ School of Allied Health Science, Indiana, USA, where she graduated with the Highest Distinction. Jin Shen teaches and mentors junior dosimetrists and physics residents in dosimetry planning. She has authored several publications.

Dylan has worked at Accuray for about 10 years, initially working on the Training team before moving over to R&D working in TomoTherapy® development. Dylan managed a team of physicists for five years and now is responsible for R&D Physics and Global Clinical Support covering both the TomoTherapy/Radixact and CyberKnife® System product lines.
