Dr. Yashar earned her M.D. with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from Northwestern University and holds a BA in Biology, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan, followed by a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology and a residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Louisville. Currently a Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of California San Diego, she has held numerous academic and hospital appointments since 1996. Dr. Yashar has made significant contributions to national oncology organizations, including leadership roles with ASTRO, the American Brachytherapy Society, the American Board of Radiology and NCCN.
