Denise Bernhardt, M.D., Deputy Director, Department of Radiation Oncology, Technical University Munich, Munich, Germany

Dr. Denise Bernhardt is currently the Managing Senior Physician at the Department of Radiation Oncology and Radiotherapy at Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich, a position she has held since 2020. Prior to this, she was the Head of the AG Neuro-Radio-oncology at the Department of Radiation Oncology and Radiotherapy at Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany. Dr. Bernhardt is certified in radiation oncology and radiotherapy and has received several awards, including the Hermann Holthusen Prize for exceptional postdoctoral theses from the German Society for Radiation Oncology (DEGOR), a travel grant from the German Cancer Society for the German Cancer Congress, and a study prize from the ARO (Arbeitsgemeinschaft radiologische Onkologie), which was awarded at the annual meeting of the German Society of Radiation Oncology.

Rami El Shafie, M.D., Deputy Director, Department of Radiation Oncology, Göttingen University Medical Centre, Göttingen, Germany

Prof. Dr. med. Rami El Shafie is Deputy Director at the Department of Radiation Oncology at Göttingen University Medical Center. As a physician-scientist, his scientific focus lies in clinical research and conducting clinical trials. His main fields of expertise are thoracic radiation oncology, neuro radiation oncology and eHealth, with an emphasis on stereotactic and precision treatments. One current project evaluates novel approaches regarding the radiosurgical treatment of brain metastases. Other areas of his research include the evaluation of innovative digitized concepts such as AI and machine learning in the context of oncological care.
